I started this company to celebrate everything I love everything about human beings, we are all so wonderfully and divinely made. 

​

I must start by giving God all the glory for everything he has provided and all he continues to do. None of this could have been created without Yahweh. 

In my early adult years I had a vision about a sacred market (let me land). I wanted a safe place where all your needs are met, a place you can call home. Somewhere to embrace self love and a community who loves you back. Velvet Roots is a place of sisterhood, prosperity & protection. Bringing everything together has brought so much joy to my soul.

Life hasn’t been easy, and we are still tested everyday. Nothing has happened overnight, but through trials and tribulations Velvet Roots was born. We continue to rise above those difficulties with strength and grace. 

We are more than just a hair brand, but a family. Here to support you with everything you need. This dream has many check points and the journey is filled with love, mysteries and adventures.

We started building something small, but with faith and uncounted hours spent in the background it has grown into something so big and beautiful.
